Testing is considered on an individual basis. There are, however, two considerations that will be the same for everyone.

1) Attendance

Meet the minimum amount of time you are required to wait between ranks. These are minimums only. However, there is NO guarantee that you will test when these minimums are met. That is up to the instructor to determine that not only have you put in your required time and attendance, but that you have also reached the required level of proficiency.

2) Required Level of Proficiency

This is based on the advancement requirements of your belt color.

Another requirement for testing is that your expenses have been covered, and that you have your testing fees at the testing.
